Morvagh The Shoreline at Clachan Local Residents Clachan Sound

Morvargh is situated right on the shore here on the lovely Isle of Seil. Two minutes walk and you arrive at the popular Tigh an Truish Inn and the wonderful old stone Clachan Bridge, often referred to as the ‘Bridge over the Atlantic’.

Morvargh is a small family run Bed and Breakfast and we want you to enjoy your stay with us. Morvargh has two double and one twin bedrooms all with en-suite facilities and stunning sea views. We have a varied and delicious breakfast menu and everything is freshly prepared as you relax in the dining room with sweeping sea views right down the Clachan Sound.

Morvargh has direct access to the shore and there is a small slip suitable for kayaks and small boats. Seil has plant, bird and wildlife in abundance, and with hill, shore and cliff top walks, it is a nature lover’s paradise. The rugged Atlantic coastline and wild unspoilt beauty of the surrounding hills provides endless inspiration for artists and photographers. Steeped in history, there are old slate quarries to visit and museums to ponder at.

Seil has a scenic nine hole golf course. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the course is laid out amongst a backdrop of superb scenery, sea on one side, countryside on the other. For a bit more action, there are Sealife adventures and Seafaris.

Morvargh is an excellent base from which to explore much of this part of the wonderful west coast of Scotland. It is only 12 miles south of Oban, with its shops and restaurants and the ferries to Mull and the outer Isles. Lochgilphead, the Crinan canal and the pretty fishing village of Tarbert are all within easy reach for a wonderful day out amidst superb scenery. You can even place your foot in the footprint carved into stone at the ancient fort at Dunadd, said to be used ceremoniously by Scottish Kings, Dunadd once being the capital of the Scottish Kingdom of Dalriada in 500AD.

We are open all year round.
